2.01 JES2 Print Output Banner Pages Introduction
The print output banner page images shown here are not drawn to precise scale. These images represent the general design of the landscape/portrait mode banner pages and the actual text that appears in each banner. All output routed to print "LOCAL" on the Computer Center laser printer will have the full page default landscape banner. Print output routed to the Computer Center impact printer will use the default landscape banner format, but may be "cropped" depending on the width of the impact print form requested.
NOTE: The * which appears after BIN in the banner signifies that the User has coded an optional ROOM in the JCL OUTPUT statement. This optional ROOM appears in the informational box below the banner and is available to the User for specifying additional distribution routing information. The BIN number in the banner is taken from the ROOM parameter coded in the JCL JOB or JOBPARM statement or the DEFAULT Bin number and must still be a valid output bin number in the Computer Center output bin area. If the User does not code and optional ROOM in the JCL OUTPUT statement, the * will not appear after BIN in the banner. Print output will be distributed in the following manner.
If there is no * present in the banner (no optional ROOM coded in the JCL OUTPUT statement), the print output will be distributed according the specified valid BIN number in the banner.
If an * appears in the banner (an optional ROOM has been coded in the JCL OUTPUT statement), the Operator will check the optional ROOM in the informational box and reroute the print output to the specified valid Bin number. If the optional ROOM is not a valid Bin number in the Computer Center print output bin area, the output will be routed to the valid Bin number appearing the banner and the User will be responsible for any special output distribution.
The following table lists each line in the banner page information box by line name. The table includes a sample of the line output and the information source for each line item. Lines in "bold" are optional fields. Users can code these optional fields on the OUTPUT JCL statement to provide additional output routing information. Specific rules for coding the optional fields can be found in any IBM 370/390 JCL reference manual.

A. When temporary modifications are made to schedules established for production systems less than one week prior to the scheduled run date.
B. When a nonproduction system (i.e. ad hoc or priority request) requires Computer Operations intervention to control the series of execution, special handling of input/output, selection of processing prior to other workloads (e.g. file creation dependencies, assured output delivery time, special forms or job control checkout) or greater than 25K print lines.
NOTE: Production Service Requests must be submitted to the Production Machine Scheduler during normal working hours, but no later than 3pm on the requested run date. Production Control will accept sheets for emergency/priority last minute changes at all other times. Ad hoc and priority requests will be processed as time permits without interfering with scheduled production processing. All requested jobs will execute in the order listed unless otherwise specified in the job predecessor column.
